Happiness is a basic motive that inspires an individual to perform actions and achieve their goals. Looking for happiness in daily tasks is often what humans do. There are different developed approaches which are built to find the path of eternal bliss.

The Vedas and the Upanishads explain about the nature, features and the path in pursuit of happiness. Happiness is said to be the primary motivator and the guiding value of human life. It pushes people to achieve what they aspire. Happiness can be achieved by all but sources of it may differ. Happiness is subjective and can be influenced by different situations, bliss is a state of mind.

WHAT IS HAPPINESS?

  • Happiness is the primary motivator and guiding value of human life
  • Lasting happiness is realizable and attainable.
  • You are the agent of your happiness.
  • Happiness is a state of mind.
  • Happiness is active interconnectedness with others.
  • Happiness is freedom.
  • Happiness and unhappiness can co-exist.

The freedom to choose and the feeling of completeness can be described as happiness. Also it is to be kept in mind that happiness is not the absence of unhappiness, as all the difficult situations always lead to something great and paves way for self-discovery which is also the path of finding happiness. Happiness is something that resides inside us and there is no place to look for it anywhere else but there.
