Exercise improves your physical health and your physique and can even add years to your life. But that’s not what motivates most people to stay active. People exercise regularly because it gives them an enormous sense of well-being. They feel more energetic throughout the day, sleep better at night, have sharper memories, and feel more relaxed and are more positive about their lives.

It’s also a powerful medicine for many common mental health related challenges. Regular exercise can have a profoundly positive impact on depression, anxiety, ADHD and many more. When we feel depressed, anxious or stressed, it can seem more difficult to find the will to exercise. You exercising will make you feel better but you are robbed of the energy you need to work out. It’s okay to feel like this.

When you are facing a mental health problem exercising is the last thing to do in your list. Exercising with a mental illness is more complicated. Feeling of lethargy are common in people with mood disorders.

Here are some ways to overcome obstacles when you want to exercise:

· It’s okay to start small but stay consistent.

· Schedule your work out at the time of day when your energy level is the highest.

· Even a little bit of activity is better than nothing.
