Our differences make us Special!
Not everyone in the world orders coffee. You can be a mojito to this world of coffee and yet taste amazing. Our differences make us Special! Cherish them. Be proud of them.
Well sometimes we are scared of doing a certain thing, because we are shy or we think we are not too good at it or that people will make fun of us but that shouldn’t stop us from expressing ourselves. There are so many people around the world who through their work speak volumes, be it through art, cooking, photography, writings, singing, dancing and what not. If you think that there is a peculiar thing that you are scared of, don’t be ashamed of it or try hiding it. Accept it. It is all right because everything is not everybody’s cup of tea. So you just try to explore your own self and try to find your talent, what you want to do.
I remember one time, we had this final group presentation and I messed up. I was devastated. Then, my teacher came to my rescue and calmed me down and she told the whole class, that speaking is not everyone’s cup of tea and if you think you are not good at it then do something that you are good at.
You know while inventing the bulb Thomas Edison used around 3000 elements and 6000 plants to finally invent something that we cannot live without today — BULBS. Something that he says — “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work”. There can be times when people will make fun of you and would let you down, but your passion and your dedication will help you build a path to success. Our mistakes make us better, the more we go wrong, the more we learn. And that’s how one improves and moves ahead in life.
If you are scared of trying, then just look at the positive side of it, you will gain a lot of confidence, you will explore a whole new world and meet loads of amazing people and share your story with them and achieve so much in life that your parents will be proud of you. Think of things that motivate you to reach where you want to see yourself one day. If you get an opportunity to showcase your talent, never have a second thought, just go for it. You might fail at first, feel demotivated and hopeless but always remember you will never win until and unless you fight back.
I was watching this video where this math teacher comes and writes 7 equations on the board and the student started making fun of him because out of 7, one of the equations was wrong. Then he turned and told that the world is like this, they will not see the 6 things you’ve done correctly rather they will criticize you for that one mistake you’ve made. But always remember never let that criticism affect you, always move forward. And so will you, meet people in the journey of achieving your dreams and they will drag you but it only you who can rise and achieve your goals. There might be things that the society won’t accept but just hold onto it and work hard, believe in yourself, have faith, be confident and trust me you can turn the world around with your talent. Never give up on yourself.
