Do you have racing thoughts and notice yourself frequently bothered? A troubled mind is certainly distressing. This is the moment when we are looking for “Peace.” Peace is a state of rational and emotional stability, free of distress, dread or apprehension. In this state, the mind is still, and you encounter a cultivated feeling of happiness and freedom. Such peaceful moments are not as exceptional as you might consider.

You have endured them at times when you were involved in some kind of engaging or exciting venture. For instance —

  • Being with someone you love.
  • Hiking in your favourite place in nature.
  • Being engaged in reading a book.
  • Lying on warm sand at the shore.
  • In deep sleep, while you are not conscious of anything.
  • During mindful deep breathing and meditation

Such liveliness, and related ones, take the mind away from its general thoughts and concerns and restore them with an event of inner peace. The most prominent approaches to attain peace of mind include being true to yourself, affirming that life is unpredictable and guarding your thinking. Many of us inwardly “torture” ourselves everyday with the things we tell ourselves. With the distress, pressures and struggles of everyday life removed a person can concentrate on relishing the moment.
