Is The COVID-19 Lockdown Stress Making You Binge Non-stop?
Few months ago, we were craving for a long weekend and counting days for a day off to spend at home. This was because our lives were moving way too fast. There was no break and we were a part of a mad race, but now after living for almost three months in our homes, we have seen our lives change. We have not only seen but our living the culture of work from home.
Fluctuating work load and in certain conditions, stress of losing a job has pushed us to binge. Binge, a word which is quite trendy these days means excessive indulgence in an activity. Be it binge-watching, binge-sleeping or binge-eating doing anything that is out of limit is a potential harm to our health.
The ill-effects of binging include losing habit of work, weight gain and even mood swings. We can accept and acknowledge this situation and make the best out of it by gaining some self-control and learning self-leadership. We should always do things in limit, be it work or play, and maintain a balance between the two even after this pandemic ends.
