Mind refers to the invisible, transcendent world of thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and imagination. Mental health is the psychological and emotional well-being of an individual. Amidst problem-solving, analyzing situations, decision-making and planning, our mind gets filled up with stress-causing thoughts which clutter our minds. This adversely affects our mental health, which, in return might have a negative impact on our physical and emotional health as well.

Cluttering affects our mental health. It results in unfocused, restless and easily distracted mind which leads to mental exhaustion and hinders good decision making.

IMPORTANCE OF DECLUTTERING YOUR MIND

Decluttering of mind means the removal of the extremely negative, distress causing, unnecessary thoughts. But the important question is, how do we do that?

  • Meditation
  • Deep breathing
  • Yoga
  • Writing a journal.
  • Building healthy coping mechanism.
  • Practicing self love and self care.
  • Leaving the past behind and starting afresh.
  • Planning tasks in a systematic manner.
  • Making a list of tasks to be performed.

A little change in the way we perceive things helps in getting rid of mental baggage and living a stress-free life. An uncluttered mind is always more at peace and performs more efficiently than a cluttered one. Such a state of mind is less prone to develop mental health illnesses like anxiety disorder, burnout, depression, and emotional imbalance to name a few.
