How To Manage Anxiety During The Lockdown?

The year 2020 took everyone by surprise and has proven nothing as we expected it to be, but if we are optimistic we may have plans after this pandemic ends and may value ours and other living creatures lives more and may take care of the beautiful world that has been gifted to us.

The lockdown we are struggling with to keep ourselves safe has given us ample time to think about the ways we live our lives. But a certain bunch of society is coming up with mental disorders such as anxiety and depression. The feeling of everything going down and losing hope at this time is not abnormal but it is to be kept in mind that an individual himself/herself is responsible to take care of his/her mental well being.

Some ways to take care of our mental health include

  • Not watching the numbers for a day, the rising cases, the struggles of the poor will make us feel terrible
  • Take a social media detox
  • Call an old friend instead, ask about their health and then talk about anything but the virus and the pandemic.
  • Take care of your garden, shelter a pet, do positive things to distract yourself from whatever is going on.
  • Even making donations and helping the needy one can help us to feel positive.

It is okay to have a lazy day just sitting at your couch reading and just don’t worry if you haven’t had home-made cake or made dalgona coffee. Just don’t sit and worry about the world ending; it’ll all be okay in the end. Remember that it is not the end of the world and there is a beautiful world waiting for you once this ends.
