Anyone who has ever had a job must have faced work related pressure and stress. This unexpected stress comes in a scenario where things get a little too much to handle. According to WHO, work-related stress results when work demands and expectations are not matched with the employee’s abilities and knowledge and is further intensified due to lack of support from colleagues and supervisors. Some common causes for work related stress are lower salaries, excessive workload, the pressure to perform or meet rising expectations, work is not engaging, few opportunities for growth and many other.

Things you can do to beat this problem are a few changes in your lifestyle and daily choices, like:

· Engage with your colleagues and supervisors, listen to them and support them.

· Reach out to people of your personal space for emotional support.

· Improve your quality and quantity of sleep.

· Priorities and organize your work so that it does not overwhelm you.

· Plan regular breaks.

· Don’t let negative thoughts take the best of you.

· Try focusing yourself and your personal growth.
