Being nervous is natural and completely normal but if a person is unable to cope with this feeling then it might lead to major anxiety and other mental health issues. Reason for extreme nervousness could be anything, it can range from lack of positive self-esteem and self-confidence to generally having a negative mindset. It can also be a result of trauma or the incapability to handle stress in a healthy way or a result of bad parenting. Therefore, it’s necessary to overcome this uncomfortable feeling to ensure perfect performance in any task, in all walks of life.

HOW TO OVERCOME NERVOUSNESS?

  • Prepare yourself for the worst beforehand.
  • Don’t overthink the negative outcomes, instead try focusing on the positive ones.
  • Have faith in yourself. Trust yourself.
  • Don’t beat yourself up, it’s okay to be a little scared. It’s natural.
  • Try deep breathing. Breathe in. Breathe out. Repeat.
  • Surround yourself with people who encourage you to do better.
  • Seek professional help in case it starts getting out of hand on a frequent basis.
  • Practice mediation. It will help you stay calm.

Take your nervousness and turn it into a tool to push yourself to do better. Have faith in yourself and go for it.
