How to deal with rejection in a healthy way?
The feeling of rejection by anyone is horrible. Be it a friend, family, job
or a loved one; being turned down doesn’t feel right. We feel so
horrible after rejection because our brain can relive and re-experience
social pain more strongly than physical pain.
How to handle rejection in a healthy way:
1. Feel the pain but do not become a victim
When everybody faces rejection in their life, then feel like a victim. One
shouldn’t do that and move ahead.
2. Do not criticize yourself
Self- criticism shatters our self-esteem
3. Reconnect with people
It will better if you go out with people since being with people who
value us, has been found to soothe the emotional pain of rejection.
4. Focus on what you still have in your life
Work on your hobbies, spend some more time with your pet or go out
with friends.
5. Be constructive
Rather than stressing over what happened, think rationally about what
did you learn from this experience.
6. Never quit because you were rejected.
