Humans engage in aggression when the seek to cause harm or pain to another person. It can be physical or verbal behavioral. We can see aggression all around us. Research suggests that aggression is actually most often expressed towards people we encounter in our day to day life. Everyday aggression is typically the aggression we face in our immediate environment.

Types of aggression:-

* Hostile or direct aggression- with a motive to cause pain. It can be verbal, non verbal or physical.

* Instrumental or indirect aggression- intent to hurt someone but as a means to a goal other than causing pain.

Forms of aggression in professional space:-

In a office there are various types of relationship dynamics in place and its obvious that at some point there might be some frictions in these relationships.

* Boss- Employee relationship

* Employees — Employees relationship

How to deal with it -

* Time to cool down

* Treat yourself

* walk away

Aggression in personal space:-

Fights with loved ones and friends affects us the most. Such aggression might make us feel angry, upset and helpless.

How to deal with it-

* Think before you speak

* Don’t avoid conflicts as it leads to building up of unnecessary anger

* Let go whenever you can
