Being able to express your feelings freely, characterizes the word confidence. As a personality trait, confidence can be referred to as self-confidence. Self confidence is the belief that one hold regarding their abilities and strengths. Confidence is very important to sustain in this era of cut throat competition where everything in life requires struggle to make the ends meet. It makes us feel ready for new challenges and experiences and makes our vision broader and brighter.
Even when faced with big challenges, confident people believe in themselves and their abilities and are less perturbed by the idea of negative outcomes or failure in comparison to those with low self-esteem and low self-confidence. Above, all confidence is having faith in ourselves that keeps us going throughout, even when we feel like we’ve hit rock bottom.
However, a person who lacks confidence is not open to new opportunities. They’re not able to reach their full potential life because they lack the basic ingredient which is necessary to perfect the recipe of success in every sphere of day to day life.

* Changing your mindset from negative and cynical to positive and bright will take you a long way in becoming more confident.
* Say no to comparison. Stop comparing your lows with the highs of others.
When we say that one should be confident, we mean that a person should be able to balance self-worth with self-awareness and self-love but it shouldn’t turn into arrogance. One should learn to balance their level of confidence as overconfidence may lead to failures at time. An appropriate level of confidence is needed for a stress free life.
